Futurocité invites you to the 6th edition of Citizens of Wallonia, the largest Walloon Hackathon, which will be held again at the ULiège on the weekend of 22-24 October 2021!
A collaborative weekend to create the city of tomorrow
Citizens of Wallonia, is a weekend, a team, a citizen project around Smart Cities in order to reinvent the city of tomorrow through the creation of innovative services !
Come and develop your ideas and talents through a competition where everyone comes out a winner ! This competition is free and open to all (IT developers, computer graphics designers, business and/or marketing students, ... or even citizens wishing to put their ideas into practice) to hack "smart" with the technological support of IBM, Proximus, Microsoft Innovation Center, Wallonie en Poche, allowing access to data and innovative technologies.
This year, the Walloon municipalities and public authorities are also collaborating in the competition !
- They are proposing concrete challenges linked to the problems pinpointed in their cities or their sector (in several domains such as : mobility, security/safety, environment/sustainability, energy, well-being, governance...) ,
- They open up the public data needed to develop your prototype,
- They accompany you as a consultant/coach during the competition,
- They test your solution on their territories, in their services.
Discover the success story of Fernel Move, an application born from a previous hackathon organised by FuturoCité following its programme to train public authorities in the potential of open data.
Of course, your project ideas are welcome to be challenged during this weekend of citizen participation, whose objective remains: to facilitate the daily life of Walloon citizens.
