To launch its latest research report entitled "Mobility as a Service (MaaS) - Exploratory Study on Governance and Project Management in Belgium", the Smart City Institute team invites you, on March 16, to a webinar animated by Audrey Lebas, researcher at the Smart City Institute and author of the study.

What are the challenges of Mobility as a Service? What is the perception of local public authorities and Belgian public operators on this subject?

The Smart City Institute invites you to a one-hour webinar with a double objective:

  1. To demystify the concept of MaaS and the major issues related to its governance and management.
  2. But also to draw up an preliminary inventory of the interest and perception of MaaS (including its implementation and governance) by various mobility representatives of Belgian cities and public transport operators.

WATCH THE REPLAY

MaaS : What are the perspectives according to the Belgian actors?

Indeed, in the framework of this new study dedicated to MaaS, Audrey Lebas has met 8 major Belgian cities (Antwerp, Bruges, Charleroi, Ghent, Hasselt, Leuven, Liege and Namur), the Brussels Capital Region and the 4 Belgian public transport operators (STIB, SNCB, TEC, De Lijn) in order to collect their perception of the MaaS concept and its prerequisites; but also of the practical deployment of MaaS (roles of the different sectors, management model, distribution of roles between the different levels of government). This webinar will provide an opportunity to review the main lessons learned from the various interviews conducted.

The webinar, as well as the report, thus offer an information and discussion base for public authorities and mobility stakeholders interested in the development, or not, of MaaS strategies and projects in Belgium in the short, medium and long term.
